Support with Gaining Cat Friendly Clinic Accreditation

By International Cat Care Veterinary Society
Cat Friendly Clinic is a global accreditation program developed to raise the standards of care and welfare of cats in the veterinary clinic.
The Cat Friendly Clinic program is open to any veterinary clinic that cares for feline patients. There are specific requirements regarding design, equipment and facilities within the clinic, and the standard of care for cats, which must all be met to achieve accreditation.
There is NO COST to clinics for becoming accredited or for being part of the Cat Friendly Clinic program, but a clinic must be an International Cat Care  Clinic Member  for accreditation to be active, for which there is an annual fee – see iCatCare Veterinary Society membership for current prices and discount for NVF members.

Core Features

Growing cat populations equal more clients

Create a clinical experience that cat owners welcome for their feline family members. Reduces stress for cats, owners and clinical staff. Reduces risk of bites and scratches to staff due to a more relaxed patient.

Better Experiences, More Return Visits

When cat owners know their pet will be seen in a calm, feline-friendly environment—with gentle handling and reduced stress—they’re far more likely to return.

This is an international accreditation program available to veterinary clinics globally that provides a new and unique opportunity to think differently about feline patients–to ‘think cat’ and make changes to their ethos, procedures, building and equipment where possible, and to enable the clinic to clearly demonstrate its cat friendly credentials to new and existing clients. This program will help you transform the way your clinic approaches the management of cats and supports their caregivers.

How positive would it be if your clients walked away thinking, “That was a great experience,” instead of dreading their next visit? The Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation program supports your clinic to become cat friendly, explains the clinical and commercial benefits and provides clear, understandable and easy to adopt recommendations for your practice.
